Quality of Workmanship in Termite Control

Here's a little secret for you: Termite work isn't rocket science.

Yes, it requires a lot of knowledge about termite biology and behavior, soil types, building design and construction, chemistry, and biology. Most intelligent people could learn how to do it if they applied themselves, though.

But that doesn't mean that termite work is easy. It's not.

If it's done right, termite work can be physically demanding, back-breaking, time-consuming work. It requires a near-obsessive attention to detail, as well as the simple willingness to break a sweat.

A sufficient number of holes must be drilled to assure termite control.Look at the picture on the right, for example. See all those holes? There's a reason they're there. Most termite jobs require that holes be drilled through concrete slabs at regular intervals to assure that the termiticide gets where it needs to be. Yes, there are exceptions. But as a general rule, a good termite technician treats his drill like a good soldier treats his rifle. The drill is what allows him to get the termiticide to where the termites live.

The problem is that some termite control companies don't drill enough holes to do a thorough job, and some never drill at all.

You see, drilling holes is hard work. It's also time-consuming, and time is money; so some companies skimp on the holes in order to quote the lowest price. They're taking a gamble in order to get the most revenue in the least possible time. The problem is that they're gambling with your home.

In addition, some termite control companies don't pay their technicians very well, and others press them too hard to get unrealistic amounts of work done every day. When a technician has an unrealistic workload, he's more likely to cut corners. He may not want to, but he has to if he wants to keep his job. Once again, the customer is the loser.

The Exterm·It·All Difference

Terry down-and-dirty on a termite job.The reason that Exterm·it·All is different is summed up in one word: Family. We're a family business. We actually go out into the field and do the work ourselves. Not only that, but we're local. We live here. All of our friends and neighbors know us and what we do for a living; so every job we do is a reflection on our good name.

That makes a big difference. We're not absentee owners hundreds of miles away reading profit-and-loss statements. We answer directly to you and to our own pride in doing the job right, the first time, every time.

Every one here is highly-trained, fully certified, and has the best equipment and termiticides available in the industry.

More importantly, though, as owner-operators, we also have the freedom to spend as much time and effort as needed to assure that every single job we do is completed to the very highest professional standards. This isn't just a sales pitch. It's a promise; and our good name rides on that promise every job we do.

So don't be fooled by low-ball quotes or arrogant salesmen from the "big" companies, who try to convince you that only they can do a termite job the right way. It doesn't take a big company to do a good termite job. It takes hard work, skill, and pride in a job well-done.
